Camp Morning Star

General Directions From Los Angeles
- Take interstate 10 East.
- Exit Orange Street in downtown Redlands. Go straight and turn left (North) onto Orange Street.
- Turn right (East) onto Lungonia Avenue: This becomes State Highway 38.
- Follow State Highway 38 signs up the mountain for 28 miles, through the town of Angelus Oaks.
- Camp Morning Star is just past the San Gorgonio public campground sign.
- Look for a white mile-marker #28 and then make your first right into Camp Morning Star.
- Where to Park: Follow the road and you will be greeted by the MLW Transportation Team who will instruct you where to park!
Once you exit Interstate 10 Freeway in Redlands, please anticipate a 10min drive through Redlands and then approximately 30min more up the mountain prior to your Right-hand turn into Camp Morning Star. Look for mile-marker #28, and of course we will have signs leading you into this year’s Male Legacy Weekend (MLW 2026)!
Once on site, park as directed by the Transportation Team.
Total Time Up Hill
40 Minutes
Once you have exited the 10 Freeway in Redlands, you will have approximately 40 more minutes before reaching Camp Morning Star.
Pine Trees
Camp Morning Star is located in the heart of a Pine tree forrest near Big Bear, CA.
Cabin Camping
All cabins are heated and are located near restrooms complete with showers and hot water.
No Smoking / Vaping
If you are a smoker, you will have a designated place to smoke when you have arrived at Camp.
Fire Pit
There is a designated area to host a campfire which will be available within camp grounds.
Hiking Trails
There are a number of easy to moderate hiking trails available from camp to enjoy.
No Alcohol / Drugs
This event is Drug and Alcohol free. Do not bring any.
